Involved: Engineers, Milwaukee County, DNR, and the City of South Milwaukee.
Proposed Projects:
- Shoring up and repairing the creek retaining walls
- Sediment retention construction
- Erosion repair
- Soil contamination tests
- Dredging
The Friends of the Mill Pond and Oak Creek Watercourse does not solely focus on dredging the pond; the Warming House surely needed renovation. Now that the Warming House is in good condition, we can focus on the rest of our goals!
Our Story
1. Support balanced wildlife and botanical growth
2. Evaluate island and stabilize the shoreline with walkways, and nature trails for the community education and recreational enjoyment.
3. Restore recreational activities to the area

4. Use of the Historical Warming House as an Educational and Recreational building:
